This comic has more to it than just meets the eye. It is not just some guy sitting around drinking and watching TV who then decides to go out hunting. There are some images within the strips that reveal much about the character and his personality. In the first slide, the character is getting a couple drinks out of his fridge and there is a beautiful trophy buck hanging on the wall. The viewer can assume right off the bat that this guy is an experienced hunter who has had some luck, and the alcohol can symbolize the characters dissatisfaction that he is not hunting right now. The second slide shows the character drinking and watching TV (presumably hunting shows) at night time (see light on and darkness out of the window). There is another trophy on the wall, which again shows the skill level of this hunter. The third slide shows the character standing outside his house in full camo and with his rifle (he also has a bright smile) in what appears to be early morning (based on coloration of the sky). What you can take from this is that the hunter was sick of sitting and watching TV shows and decided to get out and go hunting. The fourth and final slide shows the hunter approaching a tree stand at what seems to be a later hour (again, based on the color of the sky). This infers that the hunter is prepared and has done his homework (possibly marking hotspots on his handheld GPS) on where to put his stand. Simply put, this is a character whom, instead of doing nothing, went out and did what he wanted to do as soon as he could.
